I'd planned an expedition today to the town of Drogheda and surrounds, but in the end decided to have the day off. The reviews of the burial mound complex said 'not for claustrophobics' so that's it, I'm out. The others headed off for the day, and I went into the town of Dundalk for a walk around. Nothing much took my fancy and I was back before lunchtime, which gave me time to read a book, have a nap and do the 'homework' for our trip tomorrow. A pleasant rest day.
I did manage to pick up some local cuisine at a small shop ...
A few pics from in town but not many.
Found these fabulous 'wild' (I guess) roses on the 1/2 hour walk back to the apartment. The bees loved them (double bee photo!) and they were growing in big hedges like wild brambles. Lovely smell as I walked by.
Tomorrow we hit the road again to head for our next apartment in Belfast.
